President & CEO of Small Business Financial Development Corporation of Orange County (FDC), an economic developer for more than 16 years and former senior commercial banking executive, Mike also serves in the capacity as president of The Association of Financial Development Corporations, the state-wide industry trade association representing the FDC organizations. Mike’s civic involvement includes service as Board Treasurer/Director of Family Services Association, the largest non-profit social services agency in the Inland Empire and vice-chairman of its subsidiary, FSA-Community Housing Development Organization. Mr. Ocasio is also chapter president of Inland Empire Risk Management Association and a past Commissioner with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Commission on Recruitment, Retention and Diversity. A graduate of the University of Illinois-Carbondale, Mike has achieved certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from the National Development Council and is a local resident of the City of Redlands, CA

 

 

A veteran of the commercial banking industry, Chris started his career in 1982 at Bank of America. After 6 years at the bank, Chris joined community banking, and remained there until 2011. Chris’s expertise has been in credit management, sales management, and above all, client service and satisfaction. Chris has built his career and his reputation in the industry by exceeding the expectations of his clients, associates, and shareholders at every opportunity. Chris attended Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, and is currently attending Brandman University, Orange, CA. In addition to his contributions to the banks he has served, Chris has been a loyal advocate and supporter of numerous community organizations, and has held board positions with organizations with whom his passions align, most notably, at risk youth, education, and those involved in substance abuse. Chris has been a resident of southwest Riverside County since 1988  and enjoys family time with his wife Cecelia and daughter Amanda.

 

 

Tara joined SBFDOC as Administrative Coordinator after a decade serving in a similar position with a large electrical contracting firm. Tara serves as manager of the front office and internal liaison to that of our institutional investors, program constituents and community outreach activities. She also provides administrative support to the President & Chief Executive Officer and EVP / Chief Credit Officer. Tara’s civic duties include service as a hospitality / connection leader at Crossroads Christian Church in Corona. Tara is a resident of the City of Corona, CA.
